The Black Friend

After reading the small “Your Black Friend” by Ben Passmore, I questioned my own actions around my black friends. I asked myself if I acted differently around them. I think this piece is great is making the reader question whether or not, their unnecessary black culture references around black friends make them uncomfortable. This piece helped me solidify the idea that no one should act differently around someone because of race. If everyone treated people as just people, communities could grow much stronger.
